Canoe Trips on the Guadalupe River

Each Friday during the festival, Joe Kendall and Bill Oliver of Austin’s Chautauqua Foundation host Canoe Trips on the Guadalupe River (custom trips at other times can be made by special arrangement). The trips are $15 per adult.  Children 12 and under are half price. Canoes are provided. Groups will muster at the festival office at 10 AM and will leave the ranch, by caravan at 10:30 AM.  The group generally returns by 3:30 PM. Availability is limited so you must sign up early. Bring a bathing suit or shorts, sunscreen, drinking water, a small cooler, snacks or lunch, and a change of clothes.

When you get to the ranch, check your festival program for dates and times then come by the festival office to make your reservation.  Cash or checks are preferred.  Please make checks payable to the Chautauqua Foundation.

If you have your own canoe and want to go out with the group you are welcome to do so at no charge, however a contribution the the Chautauqua Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

The Chautauqua Foundation is a non-profit organization that, among other things, provides canoe trips and adventures for underprivileged kids.
