The
Laws are John and Michele Law, husband and wife
singers, songwriters and first-class
instrumentalists. A blend of roots country,
bluegrass, folk and blues, with harmonies that'll
give you goose bumps, lyrics that touch your heart
and a live show that will leave you wanting more.
Recently featured on CMT as one of Canada's
“undiscovered” treasures, The Laws have made the
road their home for the past four years performing
at some of the most prestigious festivals around the
world: Kerrville Folk Festival (Texas); Winnipeg
Folk Festival (Canada) and the National Folk
Festival (Australia, 2005).
They've shared the stage/opened for: Tom Russell,
The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Ronnie Hawkins and Blue
Rodeo, sang with Emmylou Harris, Guy Clark and Jesse
Winchester and toured with Canadian icon Randy
Bachman.
John and Michele began song writing together in
1997, performing and recording together in 2000, and
haven't looked back.
